Mockingjay :O3
This is what they've been doing. Taking the fundamental ideas behind Gale's traps and adapting them into weapons against humans. Bombs mostly. It's less about the mechanics of the traps than the psychology behind them. […] Gale and Beetee left the wilderness behind and focused on more human impulses. Like compassion. A bomb explodes. Time is allowed for people to rush to the aid of the wounded. Then a second, more powerful bomb kills them as well."That seems to be crossing some kind of line," I say. (178. Collins)

In this part of the book, everyone that is finding refuge in District 13 is now willing to work together and destroy the only thing that they have really believed in, the system. They see their family and friends die right in front of them and they have had enough. To begin with, Districts 12 and 13 were what some would call the lower classes. They didn’t have the luxury to do certain things and they lived day by day without knowing what would happen. It’s not every day where you would see someone or a group of people come together to throw down the government. They know what the government is capable of and that the government can destroy them. But that doesn’t stop them; the wipe all the negativity out of themselves and focus on what is more important. To live freely and be treated like human beings.
This is actually a really neat way with the play on words, “we end our hunger for justice”. The games they play are called the Hunger Games. I think that the Hunger Games are called what they are because the people are craving for freedom. They live in sealed of areas and they do the same things over and over again. And in the end, though freedom is important, the people of District 13 realize that justice is equally important. They saw everyone that they care about die. They have to somehow have closure and to let the dead rest in peace.
The people are willing to do whatever they can to overthrow the government because they see what the government is doing. What they always deemed fair from the government, they are now seeing differently. They can tell that they can no longer rely on the government and can only rely on themselves. The government would never give them what they want because in the world the live in, it is a totalitarian world. They know that if they don’t succeed in this rebellion, no one will survive. They understand that they have to do this for themselves, the people they love, and the ones that have been taken away from them.
For Katniss, this is for Prim… innocent little Prim was taken away from Katniss and she can’t have anyone take her little sister away from her and expect nothing in return. This is a stab at the government but also revenge.
